Time with Liz and Boyd
We had a great time traveling and spending time with our Aunt Liz and Uncle Boyd.
Sun N Fun 2022
Sun N Fun is one of the largest aviation gatherings in the country each year. There is everything from homebuilt airplanes to antiques, warbirds, military jets, and even brand spankin’ new airplanes! This has been on our calendar since we left Alaska last fall.
Beaches, beaches, beaches!
We had a great time doing the coast line from Daytona to Tampa.
A little luck!
With a lot of luck on our side, our first Florida State Park beach campground was a huge success!
Skoolie Swarm 2022!
What the heck is a Skokie Swarm? It is a gathering of Skoolie owners and other Nomads where we all just hung out and felt comfortable being around our own kind!
USS Alabama
We love when we get to stop for a while and see some of the great history of this country. I huge thank you to all the people that served our country during times of war so that we may have the freedom to do things like this Adventure!
And there goes 2021!
As the year came to a close, we got to spend some time with friends and see their side of the places they live. As we head further east unfortunately looks like we have camped on the sand for the last time for a while. Campgrounds here we come.
A month of beaches, y’all
A month of beaches is awesome after 6 months on the road. While we are still out adventuring, we are doing it at a very relaxed pace.
BBQ and Beaches
Ever since we left Alaska we have been headed to the Gulf for the winter. Well, here we are!
The Land of Enchantment
New Mexico is a warm and inviting place. We met nice people and generally felt relaxed. There was lots to see on this tour of the southern half of the state.
The warmth of Arizona
Arizona is a pretty place. We had a good time and saw family and friends. On the 29th of October we are in Tuscon and it is 91 degrees!
Vegas, baby!…and a baby
MzDazy went to cruz the Strip and then off tho California to meet Meet Indy and visit with Mike and Emma.
Zion National Park
We rode the park shuttle to the end of the line and set off on a hike along the Virgin River to the area they call the Narrows. The scenery is awe inspiring. The Narrows is a section of the Canyon so narrow that you have to walk in the river to pass through. We were not properly equipped so I guess we will have to come back in the future to do that.
Heading to high ground
After 3 weeks in one place, it was time to hit the road. We are headed to Utah to see Jessica, daughter #2, and her family. We prefer secondary highways when possible and with a cruise speed of 62mph, I generally choose the route with the least miles. Google maps takes speed limits into consideration when plotting a route, but 80mph speed limits on the interstate don’t help us any.
