A little luck!

One morning while trying to figure out where to go next, stumbled across a 3 night reservation at Gamble Rogers. It would be our first beach campground after all this time circling Central Florida.

We were very excited to arrive and find this view out the front of MzDazy from our campsite.

The first order of business was to get our feet in the Atlantic Ocean. That was our first dip in it since we got down here.

We walked up and down the city beach next door as they allow dogs. Ruckus had a good time playing in the waves. That sand is like glue! it takes a fair amount of scrubbing to make it let go of you.

You can’t take the beach out of a beach girl!

The sunsets are pretty amazing here. Those are the real colors.

On the second night, our neighbors, who also have a Skoolie at home, told us they were heading home and that we could have the remaining 4 nights on their reservation. Holy lucky stars! the beach for a week! They also gave me an even better gift. They told me about a website that notifies you of cancelations in campgrounds so you can reserve them. Everything coastal in Florida is booked 11 moths in advance. With the help of that site, I have filled out the rest of the month in coastal state park campgrounds, including a 7 night stay in the Keys!

Just for a change of pace, Mother Nature decided to show us her darker side.

I think Ruckus is starting to get over his modeling career!

After a quick consultation with his agent, he was back in the groove!

We got to watch an Atlas 5 rocket launch. This is the aftermath. When I figure out how to post video on here, I’ll add it.

There is a nice nature trail in the trees here. Sometimes it is nice to take a break from the sun.

We saw this Gopher Turtle. He was about a foot across his back. Ruckus wanted to investigate, but the hiss he made changed that idea in a hurry!

This is Bike Week in Daytona. The lady camped across from us got tired of hearing the bikes rumble by on the highway all day. She headed out, but not before gifting us the last 5 days of her reservation! Our luck is incredible here!

Now that our stay has been extended twice, we needed to resupply. We drove right through the middle of all the happenings. There are a ton of people here.

Our new digs, beachfront! The park rangers started getting suspicious of us. I guess people rarely ever get gifted a site, much less twice! Now what started as a 3 day stay has turned into 11.

Martha and I decided to have some grown up time, so we put Ruckus down for a nap and rode our bikes down the road for a libation.

What a cutie!

This guy showed up in our site chasing a lizard. I think I moved faster than the lizard! It is a Racer Snake.

These guys practiced their formation flying every day.

A 3 ship pass!

This is what is brewing here on our last afternoon while I make this post. I moved inside just in time for a huge dump of rain.
